Calculation Sheet is Invalid Error!

Hello,

I am trying to do a charge calculation for a FO. I have maintained the FA and have attached the calculation sheet. At the FA, at the TCCS level I have ticked the check box for header-level charge and also done the required configuration at the calculation profile>>Calculation level to be at the header level. When I run the calculate charge in the FO the FA gets determined correctly but the calculation sheet is not getting determined and giving error mentioning "Agreement XXX eliminated as associated calculation sheet is invalid".

Could anybody throw some light on this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Freight Order - Set Positionsstatus

$

Hi all,

As SAP TM Standard provides positionsstatus set for freight orders, lifecycle status (tab status) and events (tab execution) are set.

The Status "set available" triggers 3 events, like loading end, arrival at dest., and departure.

I am curious on 2 things: 1. is this standard logic correct? 2. where can I customize which status triggers which event (or is it hardcoded)?

Thank You in advance,

Bill of lading

Hi,

Do you have any idea why there is no action /message when user performs the below enclosed action in freight order/freight booking for generating HBOL ( Follow-up Actions Build House Bill of Lading .

Also there is no tab called as HBOL in TM 9.1 for the same.

Secondly if HBOL No is generated in FO is the same No generated in FU as well when FU is assigned to FO

Hi everyone,

I have a question please.

I was trying to transport Customizing request (Define_Substitution_&_Substituion_Rules(0KC9/0KEL)

After running Copy by transport request (SCC1) successfully from the target client, I don't see it there.

Question, should the TP be released first? If not, what am I missing?

Thanks a lot.

Creation OTR and DTR from SAP EWM system

Hi Guys,

IntracompanyTransportationRequestRequest_In:

We are planning to call the IntracompanyTransportationRequestRequest_In interface from SAP EWM system as we are not having ECC system with our current landscap.our client is uisng the legacy system (mainframe ) as a ERP system.

So the sales order / purchase order comes to SAP EWM system from legacy ERP system and SAP EWM system needs to send the Sales order or purchase order information to SAP TM to create OTR.

is it possible to call this standard interface from SAP EWM to create OTR?

Hi,

Can someone help me know what all components are activated in SICF while setting up TM system. If possible with path/screenshot etc.

We have service /sap/bc/webdynpro/saptrx/em_wda_ui activated in SICF, but still we get the below error-

SICF.JPG

What are the other ones that need to be activated? Or is the issue because of some other problem?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

a) I am working in a shipper scenario and when I go to the document flow tab of OTR I can view the sales order No there but when I click on sales order No so that from TM I can directly navigate to ECC system to view the sales order I get a message-Navigation is supported only in NWBC

b) Similarly when I log in to ECC sales order and go to TM status tab to view TM documents ,I get the message no document flow data can be retrived for the document although OTR,DTR,Delivery documents are created already

Monday Knowledge Snippet (MKS) - 52 Update of Geo-Coding Levels

$

As a follow up to my blog post 07 Geo-Coding levels and the re-occuring questions and setup-issues in this area, I want to spend this MKS to go a little bit deeper into this topic.

First things first: Multiple Geo-Coding levels are ONLY required when you want to speed up the distance determination!!! As different distance determination strategies can be attached to GC levels, they offer the chance to determine distances based on different coordinate accuracies. In case you are not using this, there is no sense to setup multiple GC levels. This only decreases performance when creating and updating locations (for example during order integration from ERP when using one-time locations) and fills your database with not required data.

How to add a new GC level

When having evaluated the GC level concept and being sure you want to use it, first thing to start is to setup the first GC level.

MKS52_01_GCLevel_Definition.jpg

IMG path to Geo-Coding levels

MKS52_02_GCLevel_Definition.jpg

First GC level

The field strategy is filled with your GIS strategy to determine the geo-coordinates out of location address fields. SAP TM is not coming with a standard external GIS integration, so this requires some coding. Within this copding you can decide then which address fields you want to pass for the current GC level. For the standard you most likely want to use the most detailed information down to the house number. This GC level can then be used for the most accurate distance determination. (Setup in IMG under Transportation Lane->Distance and Duration Determination->Define Strategy for Distance and Duration Determination)

A second GC level could for example pass only the city and postal code information, which would aggregate multiple locations to a single point for the distance determination. Remember that the use case for this is to minimize the external distance determinations when planning. For example for transporation from multiple locations in New York City to multiple locations in Los Angeles it is okay for your buisness scenario to use the very same distance and duration, even though there are small differences in reality.

After having setup this new GC level (what usually is done very early during TM setup, but can also be done later), you have to update the already existing locations (if there are any) using report /SAPAPO/MASS_GEOCODE_LOC.

MKS52_03_MassGeoCode.jpg

Mass Geo-Coding report /SAPAPO/MASS_GEOCODE_LOC

Here it is possible to specify a concrete GC level (otherwise all coordinates will be re-determined). After having done this, all existing locations will have specific coordinates for the new GC level in case the external determination has been successfull (result screen informs you about this). From now on the system will automatically determine those for new and updated locations.

You can of course also use the report to update existing coordinates (for example after changing your external GIS product).

How to delete an obsolte GC level

After having read this and the previous blog on GC levels, it might come to your mind that some of your GC levels are not required. So far you have been afraid to delete those in fear of inconsistencies. Don't!

1. Make sure you don't have any distance setting using this GC level

2. Delete the GC-Level in the IMG -> From now on all new or updated locations will not have this GC level any longer, but all existing locations still have the value

3. Run report /SAPAPO/DEL_OBSOLETE_GCODE_LVL

MKS52_04_MassGeoCodeDeletion.jpg

Deletion of obsolete GC Levels

Again, my expectation is that a TM system starts with no GC levels. As soon as you want to use a specific external Geo-Coding / Distance Determination, the first GC level is introduced having the specific GIS strategies attached. The second GC level is ONLY introduced to boost performance of the DDD. A third GC level is almost never required.

Issue in Number of individual resources field in MTr

Hi

I am facing issue during optimization run,

Issue in Number of Individual Resources for a Means of Transport.

Number of individual resources are not considered during optimization.

Following are the settings & inputs:

MTR - Truck with "Multiresources" enabled with No of individual Resources '2'

1) 3 FWOs, 3FUs

2) 1 Resouce of 1 MTR(with "Multiresources" enabled with No of individual Resources '2' )

Expected Result,

2 out of 3 FUs can be delivered

But currently,

3 out of 3 can be delivered is the result. (which is wrong)

Please advice whether any settings/configurations are missed.

Thanks in advance.

Freight settlement Document logic in SAP TM

Hi Experts,

I am trying to get some clarification around the FSD creation / change:

My impression is that the flow from an FSD document is, Freight order->dispute management, once the dispute is agreed only then the Freight settlement document is created, is this correct? or is the Freight settlement document created simultaneously with the Freight order and in case of disput both documents are updated?

If anyone has some documentation on the flow please let me know

Thanks in advance

Distance calculation

Hi,

We are setting up charge management based on distances .Currently TM 9.2 is not connected to GIS server and is considered out of scope.

Can the experts inform how will the distance calculation be done in this scenario so that charge calculation can be  done effectively.

Rules for FUBR

Hi,

I am working on a shipper scenario in TM 9.2 and we are currently setting up FU .

Now there are often bulk deliveries in trucks e.g. order is 100mt, but we can load only 90 mt i.e. there will be left over 10mt and since  it remains open and you cannot combine it with delivery to customer nearby (as it is bulk).

Now question is under such scenarios how we shall build up the FU so that the left over part is also taken into consideration in the next optimiser /planning part.
