SAP TM - EWM - Warehouse Billing

Dear All,

 

We are planning to move to TM 9.3 and EWM 9.3 from our legacy (warehousing and freight) application. Currently the warehouse invoices are generated from the legacy warehousing application. We read that with EWM 9.3 warehouse billing feature is added. So going forward will we be able to use this feature for generating the invoicing using EWM 9.3 and TM 9.3. So the question is whether we will be able to consume the standard TM customer invoicing interface xml file or is there any separate xml file for warehouse billing.

How to change Proxy Quality Of Service from EOIO to EO

Hi Experts,

 

We are working on B2B Integration with LSP. As a part of it, we trigger multiple XML messages to LSP.

Currently standard proxy messages are triggered with Quality of Service as EOIO, whereas our requirement to change to EO.

 

Apparently i have noticed for one of the outbound proxy which we are using, shows EO in message header but shows EOIO in Monitor. Attached images below. This is Confusing.

While i was investigating, i found we can use BAdI Definition    /SCMTMS/TOR_OUTB_TECH_SEQ_CTX , and changing the parameter value CV_TECH_SEQ_CONTEXT to change the Sequence, but no clue how does it help me. Not tried.

 

Please help how can i change the Quality Of Service of Standard Proxy messages from EOIO to EO. Is it by programatically with some enhancement or is it by some customizing influence?

How to do freight order posting using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE

Hi Experts,

 

I have requirement to post the freight order posting through the Bapi : BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE  where I need to determine the TM_itemdata line items.

 

I have very limited knowledge on TMS and trying to find out a way to fill the line items data for the Bapi. Any inputs here would be greatly helpful to me.

 

I have to do a background posting for the incoming freight order number from a IDOC.

Sales order created in ERP not appearing in TM

Hi all I am doing Domestic Outbound Scenario.

From ERP system I went through SPRO --> Integration with other SAP components --> ----> Activated transfer of sales documents.

I also have assigned output type TRS0 to the same.

When I create the sales order output type TRS0 triggered.

But it is in "not processed state"

When I try to resend I get message "No communication data defined for medium 8".

Any thoughts how to fix this.

Monday Knowledge Snippet (MKS) - 62 TM 9.3 Package Building: Weight based items

Today's MKS goes a bit more into detail regarding package building for weight based items. When the whole topic was kicked off, it focused on piece based items. But from our first front-runner customers we learned that there is a lot potential for weight based scenarios. So goal is clear: Enable packaging for items that are ordered based on weight.

Basically the TM Freight Unit builder decides what quantity is relevant for package building (/SCMTMS/CL_PB_FUB->MAP_FUB_ITEMS_TO_PB). It prefers the pieces quantity, but in case this is not available now also the item gross weight can be mapped into the relevant PB item field. Note that there is in the PB item structure also a dedicated field for item gross weight, but this is only used for the required weight determination.

 

Note that the package builder only processes items based on gross weight (definitions). There is currently no logic based on net weight.

 

In case the PB receives an item with weight based quantity, it will of course first determine the to-be-used package. After this it will check the product specific alternative unit of measure definitions. Those must no contain a conversion between the package unit of measure and the weight unit of measure.

One challenge using this conversion is that the field Numerator is quite limited (I can do nothing about it as it is an ERP field existing quite a long time). It does not allow decimals and has i think only a length of 6. One feasible approach to get this running is the enhancement spot method DETERMINE_SPLIT_FACTOR. Maintain the exact weight conversion in the gross weight fields and overwrite the rounded value from the numerator field.

 

Again, the PB uses this as hard split criteria based on the gross weight. If I order let's say 600 kg of my product and a special additional packaging is required (like a bag around) per package with a weight of let's say 10 kg. If I keep the above conversion, 490 kg of the product and 10 kg bag will end up on the first pallet and 110 kg of the product and 10 kg bag will be on the second pallet.

 

After going through the PB, the final result for weight based items will be on the Freight Unit the following:

Don't get confused: The split factor coming from the product (in my example 500 kg) always excludes the package itself. So the 510 kg for the first pallet is not an additional bag, but the pallet itself. If you want to limit the pallet to 500 kg, you can use the maximum weight allowed.

 

Of course the pieces fields for the split item is empty.

Hope this gives you at least an idea what is already possible and where to start thinking. A lot to learn in this area. Looking forward to what's coming next.

Get master objects and their corresponding sub objects

I have a requirement to get all master object types and their corresponding sub objects from transport tables.

I dived into E070 and E071k tables. In E070 if pgmid(program id) is R3TR then it is a Master object type and if it's LIMU then it is suboject or change in sub object.Some entries are also in E071K with their corresponding master types.

For example if i create a table zabcd then in E071 would look like

 

pgmid   object_type   object_name

R3TR   DEVC           zabcd

R3TR   TABL            zabcd

LIMU    TABT           zabcd

LIMU    TABD           zabc


But how can i find which sub object is related to which master object.For example how to find {LIMU, TABT, zabcd} and {LIMU, TABD, zabcd} are sub objects of which master type.

Change Ordering Party on Forwarding Order after confirmation

Hello Experts,

 

I am facing an issue in SAP TM 9.0 working under LSP scenario.

 

We are trying to change the ordering party on TRQ - Forwarding Order due to incorrect entry. The system is issuing out an error.

 

The main issue that the Forwarding Order is confirmed. Is there a way out to change the partner while order is confirmed. Or can we return the forwarding order to the status of not confirmed.

I am correctly understand that in SAP TM 9.3 there is no possibility for automate train planning (one active locomotive (with defined number of max railcars can handle) and floating number of passive railcars) via VSR optimizer (Transportation Cockpit)?

How to activate Product Classification

Helo all,

 

we are using SAP TM 92 and we want to activate the classification to maintain characteristics for the product. In customizing we have maintained under topic Classes -> Maintain Object Types and Class Types for table "/SAPAPO/MATKEY" a new object 300 (/SAPAPO/MATKEY). (which is nearly a copy from SAP ECC system).

 

What have I to do, so that I can maintain classification  data in product master data. When I press the button "Classes" in transaction "/SAPAPO/MAT1" i'm getting the message "No allocations found".

Lane Timing & departure time

Hello Experts,

 

we are facing an issue of departure timing and lane timing as follows:

 

through SAP TM there is a standard time and distance between 2 points.

 

the main issue that there is a truck ban that requires more distance to be covered and time if the departure time of truck happens within specific timing.

 

E.G.: 6 A.M Till 12:00 AM trip time increase by 4 hours due to truck ban in some areas.

 

Is there a solution for this

SAP TM 9.0 - How to set SAP TM to define route automatically?

Dear Experts,

 

We're implementing some enhancements in SAP TM 9.0 to set the system to define transportation routes considering the geographical locations of each delivey point. We set the geographic coordinates for each unity, but the system is not considering the righ orientation for each stage.

Could someone give more information about this process?

Shipment V56I_DLNT_VIEW extension - new field

Hi people,

in shipment when I put deliveries I can see them in screen for planning:

I know that I can change layout here via icon. But is there any chance to add own "Z" field and fill it with value? If I show technical names:

there is a structure V56I_DLNT_VIEW. But I didn't find where to extend it and fill it with own value (I need to add an address of special partner from delivery).

Defining stages at SAP TM (Route Determination)

We're implementing some enhancements in SAP TM 9.0 to set the system to define transportation routes considering the geographical locations of each delivey point, including the transportation zones.

 

We understand the the system should create a route considering the locations of each delivery point (stages), defining the itinerary according to the geographical locations even creating the FO manually.

 

We've made some tests identifing that the system generates right transportation route for some stages, but not for others. We need to make sure the system will generate the righ transportation route when we create the FO manually.

Business Object Processing Framework

Hey guys,

 

I'm not familiar with the Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) of SAP TM. Sadly, there is not documentation at SDN or SAP HELP. There is only one little chapter in the actual SAP TM book from SAP Press.

 

Can anyone help me to understand how BOPF works and how can I use it (technical side; for example in a ABAP program)? Is there any documentation on the part of SAP?
