TMS9.1 Bad Speed and Performance

Dear All,

Greetings, hope you all are doing great.

We are encountering the speed issue in NWBC4.0 in general. Like screen takes time to load, new page takes time to load, cockpit takes time to load, if I click at freight order then it takes time to open up etc.

We have a patch level of SP04, most have encountered such issues before with other clients? Can you please assist here with valuable advise.

Even in collaboration portal we are facing many issues, it is quite slow to load, sometimes response time date is not visible, RFQ which is already accepted is shown in pending status. Any idea here?

Locking Issue in TM

Hello Experts,

 

I am changing the status of custom field of /SCTMS/TOR BO via custom report.

 

I am facing the locking issue in this report. When I execute the report and leave the screen as it is, all the FOs are locked for others. Is there any mechanism by which we can unlock the Fos without pressing the BACK button.

How to re-excute AM determination for new instance

Hi all,

 

    I want to update the successor TRQ instances root info when original TRQ instance root changed. And I hope root after modify determinations can be triggered for the updated successor TRQ instances. After testing,  I find the root after modify determinations can't be triggered when successor TRQ instance is updated in original TRQ root AM determination. Could we trigger the AM determination in AM determination ?  It is likely to cause endless determination. Should we populate the failed key from determination ?

Number plate change charge

Dear friend,

 

I have requirement where business want to charge carrier if carrier changes truck during transportation.

 

For example carrier loaded material in Truck number TK01234 at source location.

On the way carrier change truck due to some reason and at destination location truck number is not same as in source location. Say at destination location Truck number is TK04129.

Then Business wants to put penalty on carrier if truck number in destination location is not same as in Source location.

Can we capture this charge automatically in freight calculation. Any suggestion.

Since the last 8 years, I am working as a SAP MM/WM consultant. I am interested to learn any new advanced modules in SAP.

Can you please guide me about SAP TM? What is the curriculum for Transportation Management?

 

Also, am I suitable to learn TM? What prerequisite knowledge I am supposed to have in order to learn TM?

Problem transferring FSD to ERP

Forwarding Settlement Document (Invoice Date) determination

Hi All,

 

Is there a way to write condition to determine the Invoice date in Forwarding Settlement Document based on the POD date from freight Order.

Invoice date should be same as the POD date mentioned in the freight order.

New Function Adventure: Split Rate Validity

TM 9.3 provides the validity period function in the rate line level.

 

Function:

1.Start Date and End Date will not appear until Rate Validity Split is checked, and once it is checked can't be unchecked again

Technical:

 

The validity period in rate lines isn't the scale. They are additional fields in rate line structure as below.

CIF Error : Supply chain unit with name XYZ already exists

HI

 

I created one plant XYZ in R/3 and then CIF it to TM. Later I Deleted this Plant in  TM only as Location = XYZ and location type=1001.

 

Next when I am trying to create  a new plant in TM with  the same name XYZ , it is throwing me error as "Supply chain unit with name XYZ  already exists".

 

Be specific  in ur answers  and tell the transaction/path of resolving it.

De-activate SAP0

Dear experts,

 

we are using an external provider to determine the distance and Duration. However, when we have a Connection Problem, the System automatically uses SAP0 to determine the geocoordinates. We do not want that. We would rather have no geo-coordinates then wrong geo-coordinates and we do not want the System to overwrite correct geo-coordinates with wrogn ones just because te Connection is interrupted. This is not set up in customizing. How can we change the method to look only for the geocoder distance and never fallback to SAP0? Has anyone done this before?

Calls missing for BAdIs BADI_LO_TM_SHP when change delivery order

hi experts

we need to use control key to control whther transfer to TM(TRQ),so we create a control key 1001 which will not transfer any document,and changing to 1001 in this badi, but when we create delivery order, it still generate a new trq(base on delivery order), and when we change the deliervy order, it will not triger this badi,

it's different from the description of the spro(integration with other sap components->tranportation management->logistics integration->business add-ins) 

 

 

 

 

   or could any other enhancement can implement this requiremeny？

Anyone know how to run the archiving process of the agreement? How to set the status as "Archived"?

 

Could the "Archived" agreement be used for charge calculation?

Can someone provide the significance of location type 1020 since in the system as predefined by SAP we dont get this value under location type however during CIFing the system throws an error that location type 1020 does not exist.If 1020 is not std location type then why these error comes up

BOPF Enhancement to pass data from Z table to Freight Unit Item level

Dear TM Experts,

 

I am new to SAP TM developments. I have gone through SAP Transportation Management 8.0 / 8.1 & 9.0.

 

We have a requirement where we need to pass data from Z table to TURES_ID of Freight Unit structure.

We have configured automatic creation of freight unit at FUBR level. We have configured standard PI interfaces with which whenever STO or Sale order is created in ECC, OBTR is created in SAP TM which is as per our requirements.

Now, due to this FUBR configuration, Freight Units are created automatically. During this creation of Freight Unit we need to find a point for enhancing to built our own logic for picking data from Z table and passing it to Freight Unit Item structure at run time.

 

I tried with Determination Enhancement option with pattern B Derive Dependent Data Before Saving for BO - /SCMTMS/TOR for Create/Update and delete Nodes. When I try this from transaction - /BOBF/TEST_UI break-point stops but when I test this using Tcode - SPROXY using payload of inbound proxy our breakpoint do not stops.

 

I would like to know below 3 points:

 

1. The approach of Determination Enhancement is better approach for passing data to freight unit structure at run time from Z table or their any other better approach using which we can achieve passing data to freight unit from Z table during instance of PI interface

2. Why our breakpoint is not stopping when we are testing from Inbound proxy from SPROXY with payload data in SAP TM

3. Is their any other option where we can debug PI interface and reach to freight unit level other then SPROXY

SAP TM Gantt chart - How to set up

Since SAP TM 9.2, the Gantt chart is part of the transportation cockpit and can be used as any other cockpit area. This post will explain and guide you through the most frequent issues in the Gantt chart setup.

 

The Gantt chart is using a new HTML5 based technology. For this reason you will have to activate some services using transaction SICF in order to use it. These services are:

  • sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5
  • sap/bc/bsp/gntlb
  • sap/bc/bsp/scmtms

 

Please make sure that these services (including sub-services) are activated. If no Gantt chart is displayed at all but only an empty grey area shows up most likely one of these services is deactivated.

As the Gantt chart is a normal area of the transportation cockpit you can use it in all of your transportation cockpit layouts. Therefore you will just have to assign the new Gantt chart area to any screen position and define a layout you would like to use. This layout defines the whole look of the Gantt chart, so for example the colors of different objects but also, which objects and hierarchies you can see and use. How to set up the customizing will be explained in a later blog post but there is also a set standard customizing you can choose of.

After these steps the Gantt chart will appear when you enter the cockpit with the transportation cockpit layout you just have created.
